Murray River Cruise
Step back in time to an old historic riverboat town founded
on the early flush of activity associated with our pioneer wool industry.
This historic village steeps in history but the story really begins
with the iconic location of where Australia's two greatest rivers meet.
Morning tea at the junction of The Murray & The Darling rivers
allows time to climb the viewing tower where at times
spectacular distinctive river colors can be seen merging.
Explore ancient dunes at Perry Sand hills and be amazed at the remarkable "God Tree".
Tour through Australia's first colonial prison, The Old Wentworth Gaol,
to view the still chilling cell blocks and thick secure walls.
Discover Lock 10 and culturally rich Thegoa Lagoon
before enjoying a traditional pub lunch at The Crown Hotel.
The day rounds off with a two hour scenic paddleboat river cruise on the Murray River.
Hear about the story behind legendary elusive local "The Possum"
and visit another old lady of the river, the lovingly community restored PS Ruby.
Tours may vary at operators discretion
and are subject to availability of venues on the day.
